Daisy Bix, aka Emilie Buchwald, lives in Minneapolis, MN. She is the author of At the Dog Park with Sam and Lucy (The Gryphon Press), and two award-winning children's novels, Gildaen and Floramel and Esteban (Harcourt Brace) Buchwald was the founding copublisher/editor of Milkweed Editions and is the publisher of The Gryphon Press. Her awards include the National Book Critics Circle Lifetime Achievement Award (2008).
